International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney)
The International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) is the $1.5 billion centerpiece of a $3.4 billion, 20 hectare transformation of Darling Harbour.
Delivered by a Public Private Partnership, the consortium called Darling Harbour Live (DHL), was comprised of Lendlease, Hostplus, Capella Capital, AEG Ogden and Spotless.
Darling Harbour Live partnered with the NSW Government to create Australia’s largest combined exhibition, convention and entertainment precinct, with reinvigorated and expanded public space.
Completed in September 2016, ICC Sydney was at the time, Lendlease’s largest project by value. Featuring a striking contemporary design, industry leading technology and multi-purpose spaces.
ICC Sydney is a beacon of innovation, learning and entertainment connecting and celebrating leaders of business, governance and the arts.
The project included the construction of Australia’s largest exhibition venue, a premier theatre for about 9,000 people, Australia’s largest ballroom, a rooftop event deck, 826 car parking spaces, a new boulevard and reinvigorated pubic space at Tumbalong Park.
In spite of the immense construction challenges faced by the team, the large-scale, ground-breaking project was delivered to the agreed completion date and budget.
Most importantly, the world-class facilities were delivered with quality, safety and innovation front and center.
